I created a spicy, sassy, and flashy 3-part series of Pilates based movements for you to perform on the Total Gym!
3 PART PILATES SERIES
The workouts in this 3-part series are designed to accomplish specific goals such as cardio, strength, and dynamic flexibility. The routines are not only effective and time efficient, but they’re also fun and challenging for all fitness levels.
The 3-part series is broken down as follows:
PART 1: CARDIO STRENGTH: 6 Sassy & Sweaty Moves
PART 2: STRENGTH: 6 Sexy Strength Moves
PART 3: FLEXIBILITY: 4 Flashy Flexibility Moves
By the end of this series, you will have 3 sassy, sexy, and flashy routines that can be performed as a stand-alone workout, combined together as one big routine, or performed as an add-on to the other workouts you currently perform.
LOVE THE VERSATILITY OF THE TOTAL GYM
When most people think of Pilates, they think of expensive classes and equipment. This workout breaks the stereotype barrier! The function of the Total Gym is very similar to a “Pilates Reformer” because the movements are structured around Pilates exercises and both pieces of equipment can enhance that experience. The primary difference is the Total Gym utilizes bodyweight as resistance and a Reformer utilizes adjustable springs for resistance. Both are amazing pieces of equipment to help train and enhance your abilities, but let’s show your muscles some love, Total Gym style!
When pairing Pilates strength movements with cardio exercises, you get the best of strengthening and lengthening your muscles in one solid total body sequence that leaves you feeling revived, sassy, and sexy!
WORKOUT 1 || PART 1
CARDIO STRENGTH || SASSY SWEATY PILATES
Let’s kick off this series with 6 Sassy and Sweaty Pilates Moves that combine cardio and strength exercises into one powerful, and sexy routine. This workout can accommodate all strength levels by adjusting the incline level to your liking. However, if you’re looking for a setting to start with, I suggest setting the incline at a medium level.
Goal: Boost your endurance, burn calories, increase heart rate, improve cardiovascular health and overall strength with a spicy Pilates workout series!
Feel the Love: Part 1 of the series spices it up by combining cardio strength movements that are challenging, sassy, and sweaty. Get ready to so show your muscles the love!
Perform the following 6 exercises in circuit format by alternating the cardio exercise followed by the strength movement.
• Perform the cardio exercises for 30-60 seconds
• Perform the strength exercises for 10-15 reps each
• Keep the workout flowing from one exercise to the next with little to no rest in between.
• Repeat the circuit as many rounds as your time permits.
Set Up: Squat Stand / Medium-High Level
Sassy Cardio Strength Workout:
1. Cardio: Bicycle Running (30 seconds)
2. Strength: Bridge Extension
3. Cardio: Hollow Body Jumps (60 seconds)
4. Strength: Climb a Tree & Rotate
5. Cardio: Side Lying Outer Thigh Hop
6. Strength: Incline Pushups (on SS)
