Emmanuel Vedrine – Editor/Translator

Emmanuel Vedrine has a Bachelor in Romance Languages. He is also the recipient of the Harvard University Graduate Fellowship (Ph.D. program in Linguistics) and The Indiana University Graduate Scholarship (Graduate Studies in French). He is author and co-author of 20 books (mostly related to Haitian Creole and Haiti), and he has published over 75 specialized articles about Haiti and its culture. Founder of “E. W. Vedrine Creole Project”, Vedrine has also founded the first and most extensive electronic directory to stock research materials for Haiti. He has worked as a teacher of Spanish and French, bibliographer, educator, lexicographer, researcher, translator, and writer. His literary works have appeared in Anthology of Haitian poets of Massachusetts, Bon Nouvèl, Bulletin Commercial du Massachusetts, Boston Haitian Reporter, Le Nouvelliste, Libète, and other publications. He is fluent in seven languages, including English, French, Spanish, and Haitian Creole.
